Our Mastiff Family

Lady Grace Under Fire CGC, TDI, OFA, CERF, PRA Clear

Gracie is our foundation female that made us fall deeply in love with the breed.  Her admiration and dedication to our family is indescribable.  Her pedigree includes Foxfire, Perigen and Briarcreek and she is a Columbo grandaughter.  Gracie is a joy to own and is a wonderful therapy dog. She has blessed us with our Scarlet, Maggie, Isabelle and Winnie. Gracie has been retired from breeding and remains our beloved companion.

Moses Maddy Hall of Hartland CGC, TDI, CERF, PRA Clear, OFA Hips Good and Elbows Normal

Maddie joined our family from San Diego. She recently dressed up as Santa for our Christmas pet therapy visit.  Maddie has a "clean pedigree" of all old English bloodlines including Greiner Hall, Albion and Mill Creek.

* Maddie competed in her first shows in Marietta, OH, on April 10-12, 2005, taking 1st place 12-18 month bitch puppy all three days and getting Reserve Champion 2 of the 3 days.  Maddie however did not enjoy the show ring as much as she does therapy work.  She achieved her Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International certifications in March 2006 and continues to regularly visit the area hospital and nursing homes.  Maddie has matured into a very large girl weighing in at 186 lbs.

Hartland's Scarlet Rose CERF, PRA Clear by parentage, OFA Excellent hips, OFA normal elbows

We just had to keep a Gracie/Goliath girl.  The apricot color is so beautiful and we get many compliments on her coat.  Scarlet exhibits her mothers loving yet confident temperament and has done therapy dog visits. She can be very mischievous like her father. Scarlet inherited his height and is much taller than Gracie!  Goliath was imported from British Columbia and is a Roga son with a Greco pedigree. ** Please see Scarlet's page  for more information**

Hartland's Lady Wildflowers

Daisy is from our 2007 Scarlet/Dozer breeding. She has the beautiful apricot brindle coloring of her father. She is strong, outgoing, friendly and just full of life.

Hartland's Million Dollar Baby

Millie is a singleton puppy from our Maddie/Tucker breeding. She has her mothers beautiful face and her father's reverse brindle coloring. She resides in a foster home and has six children to play with!

Hartland's Lady Isabelle Ringin

Belle is from our Gracie/Cedar breeding. She is very fun loving and outgoing.  Isabelle took a 1st and 3rd in her class at a recent show.  Isabelle resides in a foster home with Amy and family.  She continues her training and gets to play with her brother Sambucca.

Hartland's Blazing Saddles

Mongo is from our 2008 Maddie/Dozer litter. He is a beautiful apricot.  He is a sweet, easy going, fun loving pup. He is enrolled in puppy class and will start handling classes in the fall. Better photos coming soon...

"Teddy" is 16 months old in these photos and is Scarlet's brother.  He was the pick male pup from our Gracie/Goliath breeding.  He is one of the tallest Mastiffs I have seen measuring 35" at the shoulder.  He currently weighs over 200 lbs and will probably fill out more this next year. He has the sweetest temperament and loves everyone. He is one of a kind. Teddy lives with his sister, Lady Belle.  Thanks Holly & Eric for giving him a great home!

TOP TEN REASONS WHY DOGS ARE BETTER PETS THAN CATS

1. Dogs will tilt their heads and try to understand every word you say. Cats will ignore you and take a nap.

2. Cats look silly on a leash.

3. When you come home from work, your dog will be happy and lick your face. Cats will still be mad at you for leaving in the first place.

4. Dogs will give you unconditional love until the day they die. Cats will make you pay for every mistake you've ever made since the day you were born.

5. A dog knows when you're sad. And he'll try to comfort you. Cats don't care how you feel, as long as you remember where the can opener is.

6. Dogs will bring you your slippers. Cats will drop a dead mouse in your slippers.

7. When you take them for a ride, dogs will sit on the seat next to you. Cats have to have their own private basket, or they won't go at all.

8. Dogs will come when you call them. And they'll be happy. Cats will have someone take a message and get back to you.

9. Dogs will play fetch with you all day long. The only thing cats will play with all day long are small rodents or bugs, preferably ones that look like they're in pain.

10. Dogs will wake you up if the house is on fire. Cats will quietly sneak out the back door.
