Hi Sherrie – I thought I’d send over some links to Max’s Flickr page and youtube channel! He’s growing so big (76.5 pounds about 2 weeks ago) and is the most delightful dog. He loves his obedience classes and playing at the dog park. He’s a wonderful protector but loves a cuddle. He is a bit spoiled though – but hey he deserves it…. Thanks again – he’s a beautiful addition to our family – hopefully within the next year we will add another Hartland pup to the mix! Patti (Omina/Quincy) Pittsburgh, PA

Just wanted to drop a quick note and some pics to let you know how Ava is doing. She is getting so big. She is such a good doggie. She already knows so much. We start puppy classes with her on Sept 9th. It will be interesting to see how she does. Thanks again for everything. We couldn’t be happier with her! Jeff/Rochelle Parma, OH

We are having so much fun with Romeo. He is the biggest sweetheart. I took him to a Farmers Market today for socialization and you would have thought I was with Mick Jagger!! Everyone was going nuts. “He is the cutest and sweetest puppy I have ever seen!” We heard that a bunch. He gets along so well with everyone and every dog. We thank our lucky stars to have found him. I am attaching some pics for you!! Thank you so much again for breeding the best English Mastiffs ever!! Caryn (Daisy/Nicodemus) Cincinnati, OH

I’ve been meaning to send you a picture of Zeus as he’s gotten much bigger since we picked him up over a year ago. This picture was taken a couple of months ago in my backyard enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. I hope you enjoy it. I want to thank you again, Zeus is a dream come true. His confidence and obedience is off the charts. He couldn’t be more calm and loveable. We call him Super Zeus……My trainer constantly praises him for his work drive and his focus, and within the next few weeks he and his brother will begin tracking training…. I haven’t sent any pictures of Bella (Inka/Anderl) lately. I hope these come through. She is doing well. She will be three in March. As you can see she stays in good shape mostly from chasing balls, birds, anything that comes into the yard. My vet says she is the nicest Shepherd he sees in his practice. She is so friendly. Everyone is her friend. She even made friends with a cat we recently got…. JD & Cindy Uniontown, PA

We were just in Tiffin Ohio the past few days and thought I would give you an update on Mason (Isabelle/Mongo). He is getting huge…He is doing great in all areas, he is just an awesome addition to my family. He loves to have a bath and get blow dried afterwards. He is doing great in his classes and he is the one that is usually called upon to use for the demonstration of new things. He picks things up fast so training so far has been a breeze. You were right, he is very devoted to me and my little boy (Dylan). Even my husband that is not a big dog lover has fallen in love with him………. The vet says he is great and just hugs him to death when we go there. Every where I go I am stopped by numerous, I mean numerous people so they can pet him and ask questions. I get compliments all the time on his behavior, color, cuteness, and so on….. He is so funny and brought us so much joy and laughter. Well I can brag to you about him all day long so I better let you go. Thanks again for such an awesome addition to my family. April Pocahontas, IL

We had a “great” time totally!! Laska is so darn cute, Nancy. She just took my heart when she came over and laid down on the floor by my babies. She honestly is one in a million!! (I’m not kidding. I’ve been around more GSD’s than I can count. All of them have been very well bred and “none” of them had Laska’s all-around wonderful personality…

Once again I am unable to attend. My husband and I are living happily in Jacksonville, Florida. He is still in the Navy and I am working on a second bachelors degree. Zyla is doing great out here. She works out twice a day with us and we live near the woods so there are plenty of new sights, sounds, and smells to keep her interest. She just had her 3rd birthday 2 days ago and is quite athletic now. I don’t know what I would do without her when he is deployed. She makes it so much easier. She really has turned into a beautiful dog. I wish you could see her in person. One day we will make it up there to the reunion. For now, here are some pictures. It shames me to admit the jersey she is wearing is a Redskins jersey. My husband snuck it on her during the Cowboys/Redskins game. He is a Redskins fan, I’m a Cowboys fan. As ugly as the jersey is, she still looked cute wearing it! Thanks and take care, Ashley and Zyla (Inka/Anderl)

wish we could be there! Sounds like a blast. Maybe next year, my husband is retiring next month, I have many more years of working but maybe we could do a fall trip to Midwest next year. I sent you some Toby pictures yesterday, they are on regular printer paper as I ran out of photo paper. He was a year yesterday, he is a Moose! He bulked out this summer from all the swimming he did at the lake. He’s a great dog. Enjoy the picnic. Cindy Bernardston, MA (Isabelle/Mongo)

Its been awhile. She’s doing great, loves playing & going for walks here @ the farm. Sending picture of Myia @ 1 year old. She is the greatest…..This spring we built her a fenced in playground and loves to play ball. We can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful dog. I saw all the beautiful litters this past spring & summer. Almost called you for a playmate for Myia. Myia is sending something for the raffle for the puppy reunion , fedxing so you get it in time. Hope it makes some money for the pilot program. Please let me know what you think of it. Have a great Reunion, maybe next year we can come visit. Regards, Deb Indiana, PA (Isabelle/Mongo)

Just thought I would send you a couple of pictures. We just got home from Branson for 8 days. We went on some trails and I thought these pictures told a good story about how good your dogs are. At one point, you can see we stuffed Laska into a tree along the trail. I lifted her back legs into the hole and she backed in for the picture. Then a little later down the trail there was this downed tree. Laska had to walk up the trunk to the place where I could take her pictures. No problem. It just speaks volumes for your breeding program. The years I taught puppy classes brought so many puppies that wouldn’t walk on weird surfaces or that had the confidence to try weird objects. I just thought these pictures were a perfect example and what Laska is like. I also included one of her in the raft on Table Rock Lake. My air pump didn’t work very well, so I was only able to get enough air in it for her. I was planning on taking her for a ride, but just couldn’t get it pumped up enough to be able to row it. She is so funny. She goes swimming all by herself – I don’t always even have to throw a stick – she just goes out and the joy of swimming. We are loving her. Just wanted to give you an update on Duke. He has adjusted very well to our home and our male Lab, Jake, they play all the time. Duke is now about four and a half months, 55 lbs, and completely house broken. He is a very loving and affectionate dog, we couldn’t be happier. Thanks for everything! Hello Sherrie! Just wanted to email you and let you know how Koda is doing. He is just so much fun to have around. I think he’s adjusted quite well to his new family and surroundings. Crate training has gone very well and were having fewer accidents on the floor. In fact, i think that my carpets have been safe now for about a week! lol We had him to the vet this past saturday. He is growing so fast, i can’t believe it. In the month that we have had him, he has doubled in size. He is a hefty 16 lbs., and the vet said he’s doing fantastic…Annette and Koda (Ominia/Anderl) Wintersville, OH

Hi Sherrie, I just wanted to let you know that Winston graduated from puppy kindergarten! He now knows look, sit, down, stand, off, with me, spin and come. We are still working on back up, leave it and out. He is such an amazing puppy. The class next to ours was for pet therapy certification. After one of our classes, there were two people in wheelchairs outside the pet therapy class. Winston walked right up to them and was great with them. The trainers love him. They say he is going to make the perfect pet therapy dog! We have this weekend off and next weekend he will start his next round of classes. I hope all is well with you and pet therapy was great this week! Dawn and Winston (Winnie/Mongo) Burgettstown, PA

Merry Christmas to Hartland Kennels from Susy Grace and The Saunders from Florida. Sending pictures from Susy Grace’s 3rd birthday on November 19, 2010. She has grown into a beautiful girl, and so smart. She is very punctual and likes to “mom” me with nose nudges to the arm!! If I tell her wait a minute I’m on the computer, I get “The Look!” She makes me laugh all the time as she is more disiplined than I am! Everyone she meets, comments how beautiful she is. So respectful and sweet to everyone. Very well behaved. My husband races with Florida Vintage Dirt Bikes so we go camping with him on the weekends and she loves it. Loves the motorcycles, meeting all the people and especially riding in the truck!! She’s amazing, and we absolutely love and adore her. Hope you had a good turn out for the picnic. Sent a donation to Pilot Dogs on behalf of The Hartland Kennels 2010 Puppy Picnic. They are truly a wonderful organization, and you are so awesome for recognizing and helping them. Thank you for sharing! Susy Grace, Lynn, & Glenn (Graice/Eragon)

We wanted to give you an update about Storm. He is doing great! After a bit over a week he has assimilated very well with us and our home, even picking up a few commands along the way. He has learned our daily habits and for the past 2 nights (finally!) he has slept throughout the entire night, only waking up ~7am needing to go out. This is in great contrast to the first night when he woke up 3 or 4 times. As you can see in the picture, his ears have been up now for ~3 days. We think he looks smart and maybe like a bat. They still flop a bit when he runs. He is cute anyway. Thank you again so much. Storm seems just perfect. And we really appreciate your help and time in making him this way. best wishes, Dan & Ada (Biene/Max) Cleveland, O

Thanks for checking. I think he will be named “Jet” Did you have them in crates before? Maybe just his mellow nature, but he slept in the crate 95% of the time in the car, and slept all night in it. I woke him up at 0530 to take him out. I don’t think he could be doing too much better at this point. Patty took him in the bathroom with her this morning and he climbed into the shower with her. after she was done, she sat him down on the shower drain (in the center) and he got a shower, too…..We were very impressed by the way your adult dogs interacted with us and each other yesterday. did not really plan to bring a pup home when we left home, but I thought we ought to be prepared just in case. We also appreciated the time you took with us after we agreed to buy a pup. Thanks, Phil (Biene/Max) Emlenton,PA

Hi Sherrie! Happy New Year! Just wanted to say hello & let you know Xander is doing great. He is just an awesome guy…very “polite” lol. We finished puppy classes & are getting ready to get into basic obedience. His personality is great, pretty mild for the most part.

Sherman was purchased in November 2003. He is the best dog we have ever owned. He is so mild mannered and gentile and just an absolute pleasure to have. I apologize for not sending pictures of him earlier but life can get pretty complicated as you probably know. Any way here are some pics of him in HIS back yard. If we ever purchase another dog after him it will definitely be from you. Thanks again. Mark & Sandy Cleveland,OH (Inka/Daulf)

Sherrie, Hi. Just thought I’d send you picture of Laska’s new AKC THD title. That’s the new AKC Therapy Dog title they give for AKC registered dogs that have made 50 or more therapy visits. Laska is doing great. We are training in Open and Utility. She is sure a dream to train. She has settled down a little…..I see on your website that you have had some puppies. I sure enjoy looking at them. Nancy (Ina/Anderl) Johnston, IA
